Tomorrow is a big event for us. Tomorrow Abby stays the night away from us for the first time.
Friends are having a camp-out birthday party. There will be lots of friends from the old college crowd. And lots of loud singing as a friend is bringing his karaoke machine supposedly. Not that we ever needed one before. lol.
I could put Abby to bed in the tent but we decided to have some friends who aren’t part of this crowd watch her instead. She will sleep better where it’s quiet. Plus, she will only really be away from us for about 12 hours and will be asleep for most of them.
It will be nice to have a night without the baby. I’m ready. But at the same time, I’m not. Abby and I have only ever been away from each other for a total of 3 hours.
I am not regretting the decision to have her babysat. Not at all. I am very excited to have my first baby-free night. But come Sunday morning, I will be even more excited to have her back. 🙂
