1. We stopped for dinner after a competition the very end of September. I ordered a $10 burger then discovered it was $5.99 burger night! (Yes, I know it isn’t technically October but I’m counting it anyway!)
2. I had a laptop issue this month. The power jack was having issues. I found a computer place where a friend works that only charged $50/hour. I also looked the part up myself before going so I knew it was a cheap part. I only paid $57 to get my laptop fix instead of hundreds of dollars like that well known squad wanted.
3. I was able to fill the van with gas for $3.10 a gallon! That is very cheap here. The cheapest it had been was $3.20 a gallon.
4. Our church hosts a Hallelujah Party every October. It’s our Halloween alternative type party. Non-scary costumes, candy, games, etc. I had Abby’s flower girl dress from July. I bought her a $5 set of wings and a cheap tiara. She went as a butterfly princess.
5. We had an end of lumberjack season banquet to attend…5 hours away. We couldn’t afford a hotel room and couldn’t find someone to split a room. So we drove the 2.5 hours back up to Matt’s parents’ house and stayed the night there. They had Abby for the weekend anyway. While it would have been nice to have a weekend away, a meeting and banquet isn’t my idea of a good date weekend. 😉

I did not spend 1 cent on groceries this month! We ate entirely out of the fridge, freezer, pantry, and the garden. It was challenging, but it feels great! Your butterfly princess looks adorable.
That’s awesome! What did you do about milk, etc?
Thanks. She loved being a butterfly princess. She didn’t want to take off her stuff to go to bed. 🙂
