Because of Abby, I wanted to do a photo card this year. I usually just get marked down cards after Christmas and send those out next year. So I knew I would be spending more this year just because photo cards cost more.
I was wrong.
I was able to get 50 cards through Cardstore for $23.62.
Which, by itself, is already a very good deal. But it gets better.
37 of those already include stamps and are addressed!
Only 37 of them are that way as you have to have them addressed to get the stamps included. I didn’t have all the addresses I need yet so some of them had to just be plain envelopes.
So just how much did I save?
The cards were originally $2.29/each. I had a 75% off code that included free shipping. Plus, I had the postage included on 37 of them. Here’s the breakdown.
Before deals/discounts:
Cards- $114.50
Postage- $22
Total- $136.50
I spend:
Cards- $23.62
Extra Postage- 5.72
Total- $29.34
That’s a savings of $107.16 or 78.5%. Wow!
Since I normally spend about $22 on postage and about $10-15 on cards, I actually will be spending less this year than normal. I’m hoping I can find deals like this every year. 🙂
(Yes, I will be sharing my card with all of you but not until after they have gotten mailed out.)
Adding: I forgot that I went through Ebates so got back 7.5%. So I actually saved another $1.77. Actually a savings of 108.93 or 79.8%.
