So here is a reminder of that what my goals were for 2011.
-finish the 2nd bedroom then move on to the hallway and bathroom
-do some landscaping in the yard
-get in better shape
-go from a substitute to a full-time position
-date night once a month
-pay off the smallest student loan
-paint railing in living room
-organize and purge basement
This one has become even more important for me: get in better shape
Last week my doctor called with some test results. I had gone for a physical and she had just done a bunch of blood work just to check everything. I am 24 years old and already have high blood pressure. I am overweight (20 pounds according to my scale, 30 according to the doctor’s scale) and there is some cholesterol issues in my family.
So my diet and exercise are being drastically changed. The diet more so than the exercise. I am trying to get up in the mornings to work out but don’t always make it.
Sometimes it takes something important to finally make the steps needed to do what you know you need to. I never quite had enough motivation before to eat better and exercise. I always knew I needed to but never could keep it up. I think now that I have an actual reason, I will be do better.
