Today, I got up and drove the 40 minutes to the “big” city nearby to go to the expensive grocery store, Shaw’s. Their every day prices are pretty steep. However, their sale prices are amazing. Plus, they are the only store I know of in the state (or at least near me) that doubles coupons up to 99 cents.
I spend a total of $20.23 on everything pictured above. I saved $45.39. A 69% savings. Not an extreme couponer amount but still quite good.
Here is the breakdown.
2 boxes Cheerios x $1.88 (normally $4.99) $3.76
2 $0.85 coupons that doubled ($3.40)
Total $0.36 or $0.18/box

Total $1.60 or $0.40/each
Roast at $2.99/lb (normally $5.69) $9.03

Not bad at all!
