Happy 4th of July to my American readers. While I am off at a lumberjack competition followed by a cookout, here are some ways that we saved in June. I’d love to hear some of the ways you saved money last month. Go ahead and leave a comment telling me what you did! 🙂
- We purchased a A/C recharging kit for our van from the auto parts store. Still haven’t done it, but we are all set to do it.
- I downloaded an audiobook from my library’s audiobook/e-book website. I like to listen to books, podcasts, or Adventures in Odyssey when I’m working around the house.
-We planted the rest of our garden. We have 15 tomato plants, 2 twenty foot long rows of peas, and 1 twenty foot long row of green beans. We also had a number of volunteer tomato plants from last year’s tomatoes. And by a “number”, well, it is the green carpet on the left side of this picture. Around 30-40 is my best guess right now. (And yes, I’m really bad at weeding so it isn’t the prettiest garden in the world.)
- I’ve been able to hang most of the laundry outside to dry instead of using the dryer.
- I went through Swagbucks before ordering a collage print for Matt’s Father’s Day gift to earn some cash back (better than Ebates quite often). I then used a less expensive frame that I found for $5 instead of the $12 one I had been about to buy. The SB cash back I earn will show up in July which will in turn help me earn more Amazon gift cards. 🙂
