You know that you should call your TV, internet, and phone providers once a year to negotiate a cheaper price. But really, who has time for that? It can be a hassle and if you aren’t comfortable with negotiating, it can be a stressful phone call. Just the hold time can sometimes be a stressful and aggravating experience, let alone actually having to talk to someone and try to convince them to lower your bill. Sometimes you’re just not great at negotiating.
It has gotten a little easier since the invention of the customer care online chat but even that takes a lot of time. I don’t know about you, but every time I try to make a phone call or try to do an online chat thing, my kids choose that exact moment to need something desperately. That is why Bill Shark is one of the best things I have found yet. It really can save the most money. (Not a sponsored post. I just really love Bill Shark.)
What is Bill Shark?
Bill Shark is a service that does the negotiating for you. They call their representatives “Sharks” and they are amazing at getting you a better rate on your bills. I have been fairly good at negotiating my own bills but Bill Shark did it even better. There is definitely a reason for the name Bill Shark. They really are sharks! At this time, Bill Shark can only be used on things like your internet, television, cell phone, and even home security bills. They cannot negotiate on things like insurance or utilities, such as water or electricity.
How Do You Use Bill Shark?
Using Bill Shark is pretty simple. You download a PDF version of whatever bill you want to submit to Bill Shark. You submit it to them with any information like any pin attached to your account, if you are willing to extend your contract, etc. If the Shark working your case needs any other information, they will email or text you. Then that’s it! It usually only takes a few days to hear back.
Sometimes they save you just $5/month, sometimes more, sometimes you already have the best deal you can get. The first year I used Bill Shark, they saved me $15/month on the three bills I submitted. The next year, they couldn’t save me anything. I was already as low as I could go on all my eligible bills.
What’s the Catch?
There isn’t much of one at all. Obviously, you have to pay for this service. Instead of a flat fee, Bill Shark is a little different. They take 40% of that they saved you annually. For instance, if they save you $60 for the year, you pay them $24. If they save you $900 a year, you pay them $360. If they can’t negotiate any savings for you, you owe nothing.
If you have really high bills and don’t have a chunk of change right now to pay a big fee, you might need to save up for a few weeks to pay the fee (yes, you might have to save money to save money 😉 ). However, if you use my link, you can save $10 off their fee.
I wish I knew about Bill Shark sooner. I can’t believe what a game changer it has been. It really does save the most money, better than I could on my own. The amount of time and hassle I have saved is definitely worth the 40% fee. I used to have to set aside a fair amount of time to make phone calls. All that time on hold, getting transferred to the correct department, trying to be tough but polite with my requests…it was all so stressful and time-consuming. I can’t believe how much better it has been to use Bill Shark. Go ahead and submit your bills today! You won’t regret it.
