There are a lot of money saving, coupon, money back, and even money earning smartphone apps out there. I’ve even talked about my 5 favorite smartphone apps before. Since then, I’ve added a couple new ones to my weekly shopping routine like Saving Star and MobiSave. But one app always comes out on top for me. Which app is that, that you ask? Why, Ibotta, of course! I beyond love Ibotta. In fact, I think Ibotta is the best coupon app out there right now. Now, go download it!!
Alright, alright. I can hear you all out there. “Well, gee, Julie. Is that it? We’re just supposed to take your word for it that it is the best, go download it, and then be all sunshine and puppies?” Nope. Here are five reasons why Ibotta is the best coupon app.
It has a ton of rebates
Of all the coupon apps I have used and do use, Ibotta has the largest selection of rebates each week. Most weeks when I check the app, it has 300-450 grocery rebates. That’s just grocery and household stuff! They have more if are shopping drugstores or clothing stores. Yes, clothing stores. They cover a ton of categories within grocery too. Food, beverages, personal care, babies, etc. (You earn your rebates by selecting the rebates, confirming the product by scanning the barcode on the product, then uploading your receipt. Or, for some stores, linking your loyalty card. Easy peasy)
Any brand rebates
I love the any brand rebates. Some weeks there are more than others but I love that I can get a little bit of money back on store brands on things like milk, bread, even frozen pizza! Sometimes there will even be something like $1 on four Gerber Baby Food jars and then a separate $0.25 on any baby food. You could redeem both of those for a totally of $1.25 back. You can even use a paper coupon with an Ibotta rebate to save even more.
Fast to earn
Because of the any brand rebates and the fact that you can stack them, earning can add up quickly. Of all the couponing apps I have used, Ibotta is the one that gives me the fastest return. You do have to have a minimum of $20 to redeem but that adds up quickly. I generally cash out every couple months. Other people cash out even more often than that. It depends on your buying habits.
5 reasons why Ibotta is the best #coupon app Click To TweetVariety of cash out options
Personally, I always go for the Amazon gift card but there are lots of gift card options to choose from. Some of them are Starbucks, Walmart, iTunes, and even Whole Foods. You also have the option of choosing cash back through Paypal or Venmo.
Monthly challenges
I’m not using this one the best I could be but there are different types of monthly challenges. Some of them are based on redeeming a certain number of rebates. Some of them are based on teammates. I have my Facebook connected to my Ibotta so any of my Facebook friends that use Ibotta are automatically my teammate. Also, anyone that signs up using my referral link becomes a teammate. How teams works is just like the challenges to redeem a certain number of rebates. The more you and your teammates earn, the more you all earn together. If you all meet the challenge, you earn the bonus amount. If you don’t meet the challenge, you don’t get anything so there is real incentive to meet the challenge.
Have I convinced you Ibotta is the best coupon app? Yes? Yay! If you haven’t joined Ibotta yet, now is the time. If you join using my link and redeem a rebate within 2 weeks, you earn an extra $10. Yes, $10! That’s quite the incentive. That’s puts you halfway to the cash out point. Ibotta has gone a long way to helping us with things like Christmas gifts and even just things we need but can’t afford due to our small income. It is definitely an easy way to earn a little extra cash for buying things you already would buy.
I love iBotta – and I love telling people about it, too! 🙂
You don’t have to tell me, I love IBotta!!! 🙂

Girl, Ibotta is the GREATEST! It’s sort of like a drug! I swear I’ve gotten some things for free (like *one* onion….hey, better than nothing!). Thanks for spreading the word. 🙂

I’ve gotten a number of things for pennies, free, or even overage with Ibotta. So I believe it!
I agree with you about ibotta. I love that app and have made $25 in the last six months. It’s obviously not a lot but it’s like getting paid to shop. Plus, using ibotta with regular coupons adds up to huge savings sometimes.

Little bits really add up, though!
I have Itbotta and love it! I’ve only been using it for about 3 months and I have $28.00 in my account! Such an easy way to save/make a few dollars here and there!
I used Ibotta for a while a couple years ago, but it was just so time consuming. Though saving money is always a good idea. I should really fire it up again. Thanks for sharing at the #happynowlinkup!
