We have something called Deal Chicken. It is like Groupon but it seems to have better and more local things for me. The local news channel often runs specials called Half-Price Thursday and they use Deal Chicken.
Back in February there was a special. Spend $12 to get $24 at a semi-local pizza place. Good for 6 months.
We needed dinner Saturday night on the way home from visiting family. This pizza place happens to be on the way home. It is on the way to the “big city” where I go to Shaw’s but we aren’t often going that way together as a family when it is near a meal time.
So we stopped for an early dinner on Saturday. Around 4:50/5pm. Perfect as it wasn’t busy yet. We ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza for us and a chicken finger basket for Abby. Total cost out of pocket that night?
$0.44! Less than a postage stamp. 🙂 Plus, we had a little extra for Sunday lunch. Not enough for all three of us but for Abby and me.
Technically, dinner cost us $12.44 since I had to purchase the gift card. But since I purchased it months ago and it only cost us $0.44 that night, I considering it a very cheap meal.
