I’m very excited about last week’s shopping trip. I actually didn’t spend any money. Matt received a Walmart gift card for having a certain number of passed truck inspections at work. It came just in time too. Height of lumberjack season also means many short work weeks which in turn means small paychecks.
But that is not the only reason I am excited. I was able to use a number of coupons and got a few items free, others very cheap. I did purchase some food items as well but these are the items I had coupons for.
Full retail value of the items: $20.07
I paid: $6.76
-I had coupons for free items on both shampoos
-$3 off coupon on the razors (which were only $2.96)
-$2 off the Air Wick (was $4.77)…actually using the motor in it to fix my baby swing. More on that later.
-$2 off the markers (were marked down to $3.36)
-My smallest coupon was the $0.50 off the Carefree.
I wish that I could have trips like this more often but it was still exciting to save so much on needed items. I don’t think I’ve paid for shampoo or razors in a number of years.
