-Maple syrup season is upon us. Matt spend the weekend getting our sap "house" created. It is our Ez-Up canopy from lumberjack season, lumber, and a few tarps. May look a bit like redneck engineering but it works quite well. Unfortunately, as Matt is in and out of the house a lot and still setting things up, I can't find my kitchen table under all the stuff. :)-We did boil a little bit of sap down in the house. We now have about 1/4 cup of syrup. There is just something about making your own. … [Read more...]

Pinterest: DIY Crib Rail Protector
When Abby started to pull herself up, I knew it was time to make something to protect the crib rails. I thought I had time to go buy some cute fabric. Nope. I present to you, Exhibit A. I found these all over the rails. To say Mama was not impressed is an understatement. I decided then and there it was time to make the rail protectors. I used a fleece blanket that we were given at the hospital. It was an odd size and the two sides never stayed tied together. We never used it. Perfect … [Read more...]

I feel like people mean what they say. Do you have any idea how many blog posts never get published? I realize that words have power and I don't want to offend or hurt someone because of my strong opinions. So I don't publish it, even if I think it is fine. I have been, presently and in the past, been so, so hurt, … [Read more...]
