Summer school may be over and the regular school hasn’t started yet but I just feel so busy. We have competitions every weekend. Four in a row of having to stay at of town for them. I’m so glad we are finally coming into shows that are close enough to drive there and back in the same day.
I don’t think I would mind if there hadn’t been an air mattress fiasco this weekend. Our air mattress is about 4 years old and has always been wonderful. It never loses air. Or I should say, it never used to lose air. Saturday night, 30 minutes into the night, I woke up with my hip completely touching the floor. Matt wouldn’t wake up and help me figure out how I was going to sleep. I knew I couldn’t sleep flat on the floor like that or else my back would take serious issue with that.
So tried the love seat. Too small. Tried the recliner. No padding left and very uncomfortable. Finally took the two sleeping bags since we were using sheets and laid them out on the floor. Gave just enough padding that I could sleep. Not well but I did sleep.
Woke up in the morning to discover the reason I couldn’t get comfortable was because of one of those old people grabber things was under my pillow. Wish I had figured that out well before morning.
As much as I love going to woodsmen competitions I’m looking forward to Labor Day weekend. We actually have that weekend off!
