Since I worked in daycare, mostly with infants, for a number of years I already had a fair amount of knowledge on babies and caring for them. But like I always said, it would be different when it is my own. That is still true. Here are a few things I have learned in the past three weeks (yes, she is three weeks old today! That was fast.).1. There is enough time in a day to go online, read, spend time with the husband, clean, cook, etc. and still rest and get a nap. Some days are rougher than … [Read more...]
Introducing Abigail Kathleen
Introducing Abigail Kathleen. She was 3 weeks early but still very healthy. A bit jaundiced and lost a little too much weight but healthy in every other way.She was born Tuesday, March 20th at 1:15am by c-section after 24 hours of labor, 3 and a half hours of that pushing. She was face up instead of down and was stuck so they had to take her by c-section.She was 19 inches long and 6 pounds 13 ounces. She dropped to about 6 lbs 3oz so we had to stay in the hospital an extra day and supplement with … [Read more...]
All I Can Think of is the Re-Return
Today should be known as "the day of the returns." We went to Lowe's, Target, Carter's, and LL Bean to do returns/exchanges. So that was a quick trip. The trips I'm most excited about are Target and Carter's. … [Read more...]

Here's a peek.-diaper covers (doing cloth diapers after the first … [Read more...]
I Love Free Stuff
I love free stuff. I'm always on the look-out for freebies. Even sample sizes are awesome as I can stick them in our travel shower bags. So when I got pregnant, I looked at all the baby freebies on many of the money saving blogs that I read. I didn't even know that I would be getting this last freebie. Look at what I got in the mail on Saturday. While I do plan on breastfeeding, I wanted some formula on hand just in case. I was unable to use a good coupon I had before it expired so I was … [Read more...]
