Most frugal sites will tell you to hang your clothes. Even in the winter they say to hang your clothes inside. This isn't practical for some of us. I do have a very nice outdoor clothesline, courtesy of my wonderful husband, but no space to hang inside. What is a girl to do in the rain and snow? So my tip is: use a propane dryer. Check craigslist or other type places for a gently used propane dryer. I bought my washer and dryer that way for $100 total. The dryer did even up needing some parts … [Read more...]
Thrifty Thursday Makes Window Cleaner
I ran out of window cleaner a couple weeks ago. I knew there had to be a way I could make my own. I mean, what did they do before the invention of Windex? So I Googled it and made some up. My best friends parents ended up in a motorcycle accident. Their motorcycle hit a vehicle that went to opposite direction of the turn signal. Thankfully everyone is okay....now. They were fairly … [Read more...]
12 Questions You Didn’t Really Care About
Not something I normally do but saw it posted on Stop and Smell the Chocolates. Since I have nothing really the post, thought it would be a good idea. What I'm thinking: That summer is already going too quickly. What I'm reading: Just finished Embers of Love by Tracie Peterson. In her series Striking a Match. It was good. Also reading At Home: A Short History of Private Life by Bill Bryson. Very interesting. What I'm listening to: Cheers on the TV. Listen to a bunch of free downloads I … [Read more...]
