Last year I knew that I wanted us to have matching Christmas stockings. Previously, I had a silver one and Matt had a John Deere one. Matched our personalities, yes. Each other, no.Especially with Abby on the way, I wanted us to have ones that matched. I originally wanted some of those personalized embroidered ones like these:L. L. Bean But there was no way I could afford to get three for us then keep adding as we added to our family.I found an awesome tutorial on Pintereston how to make your … [Read more...]
My Christmas Card Deal
Because of Abby, I wanted to do a photo card this year. I usually just get marked down cards after Christmas and send those out next year. So I knew I would be spending more this year just because photo cards cost more.I was wrong.I was able to get 50 cards through Cardstore for $23.62.Which, by itself, is already a very good deal. But it gets better.37 of those already include stamps and are addressed!Only 37 of them are that way as you have to have them addressed to get the stamps included. I … [Read more...]
Christmas Wishings
It's that time of year where I have to start thinking about what we (Matt, Abby, and I) want for Christmas. I.....didn't know they made those."So as I am working through that, I thought I would share with you … [Read more...]

No one is excited to open up a package of underwear on Christmas morning. I would much rather there be 1-2 nice gifts under the tree then 10-15 with most of those necessity … [Read more...]

As most everyone knows, we live in a very tight budget. To be able to have a great Christmas, I have to plan ahead. Yes, I know that Christmas is about Jesus' birth not yummy food and gifts. But that yummy food and finding someone the perfect gift are fun and a big part of Christmas for me.This year, with the baby, Christmas … [Read more...]
Next Christmas: An Announcement
What is it about about being home with a stomach bug and pregnant that makes me want to look at baby clothes? I have spend so much time on Carter's website lately. In doing so, I have completely fallen in love with an outfit for next Christmas.Yup. That means that we now know what we are having. A girl! Abigail Kathleen. Both of us are excited.
