Two dollars. That is how much money we had in the checking account this week.No groceries. No gas. No diapers. No cat food. Nothing. It gets worse. We are out of almost everything in this house. Pork. Frugal Tip: Use Your Warranty
Sunday night when we got home from our last competition, we noticed the laptop was being strange. It kept beeping saying it was plugged in, unplugged, plugged in, etc. It was still doing it yesterday. I had to hold the power cord a certain way to get the battery to charge. As of last night, it wouldn't charge at all. I check Amazon for a new power cord. My old laptop I could get one for $6. This one....$20. But still cheaper than if I have to get the power jack itself fixed so I put it into my … [Read more...]
Lumberjack Season Finances

Challenge Met! $50 for a Week of Groceries

But considering a gallon of milk is … [Read more...]
Grocery Shopping Trip….Saved More Than 50%
Friday was a big shopping trip for Abby and me. We left the house at 8:25, got to the first store at 9:03 and went to 5 more places after that. Was home in time for a late lunch at 12:30.One of the main reasons we went into the "big city" was to go to Shaw's. They had some great sales going on. Like Ocean Spray cranberry juice for $1.88 a bottle (Matt drinks a lot of cranberry juice) and pasta for $0.88 per one pound box. Weeks with really good sales and a good paycheck I like to go into town … [Read more...]
