Saturday was Abby's 2nd birthday party. It was a Curious George themed party as the girl loooooves her some George. It's an obsession really. But as most moms and some dads know, character themed birthday parties are not cheap. To make it cheaper and keep it a frugal birthday party, I did a combination of purchased and DIY'd items. Decorations Her birthday balloon was from Amazon. I couldn't find a Curious George balloon locally and it was less than $3 online. I then paid $0.79 at the … [Read more...]
Happy Birthday, Abby!
Two years ago today this little girl was welcomed into the world.Look at that beautiful baby! Such an amazing little girl. She had, and still has, her moments where she was infuriating. But mostly, she is my precious little girl. It's hard to believe that she was ever that small. Look at her now!It is very obvious she is two. Sending 50 cards is $23 in just postage, not counting the cards, paper for a Christmas letter, photos if you add those, etc. With our recent change in income, there was no way we could afford to do cards … [Read more...]
Christmas Expectations
Today is December 3rd. Only 21 days until Christmas. I've been a bit on the depressed side this year. With the change in income, we can't do Christmas as big as we normally do. We never do it too big but this year we are making all the family gifts, purchasing Abby's on sale, and doing nothing for each other. That is the part that is hardest for me. I love trying to get something that Matt will love. I love wondering what he is going to get me. Gifts is my second highest scoring love language … [Read more...]
